The Geological Survey of India (GSI) is an organization under the Ministry of Mines of the Government of India, which is responsible for conducting geological surveys and studies in India. It was established in 1851, and its primary mission is to explore, map, and assess the mineral, water, and energy resources of the country. The GSI plays a key role in understanding the geological structure, mineral wealth, and natural hazards in India.
There were 3 sites of GSI which required professional footage and educational video content. These 3 locations were - The Sundarban, Amkhoi And Gangani. All of these 3 geological sites are located in West Bengal, India. There was also no drone footage of these Geological sites. The educational content was required by the Ministry of Mines within 2 weeks. The videography and photography team of Digital Edge 360 successfully captured high quality videos including drone footage within a record 7 days and presented it to the top officials of GSI. It was a record feat considering there was video editing and voice over integration that had to be done for all the videos.
A highly planned and structured approach for the video shoot.
